General information

The Congress will be organized in Plenary Lectures, Debates, Meet the Expert and Plenary Sessions. Each session will include four or five speakers each presenting his scientific research in approximately 20 minutes plus 5 minutes discussion. Moreover, Special Sessions on Last Minute Hot Topics, Sponsored Symposia, Round Tables, Oral Presentations and Poster Sessions will be available.

Scientific Societies members of the CAMS and any other Scientific Society operating in the field of menopause may propose an entire symposium at their own cost, suggesting titles, presentations, speakers and chairmen.

The Scientific Committee will examine the proposals for inclusion in the scientific programme with the possibility to include one extra speaker or a chairman of its choice.

The deadline for submission is February 21st, 2011.

All plenary, oral and poster presentations of the Congress will be made available on-line.

Poster Session with Roman Cocktail

The Poster Session will take place on Thursday June 9th from 17.50 to 20.00, Poster Authors should stand by their Posters for presentation and discussion. A cocktail in Roman style will be served during this Session.

CME Accreditation

The IMS 2011 scientific programme will be submitted for accreditation by:

  • UEMS (European Union of Medical Specialists)
  • AMA Credits (USA)
  • ECM Credits for Italian Delegates
  • Other National CME Credits

Official Language

English is the official language of the Congress.

Entry to Italy, Passport, Entry Visa and Official Letter of Invitation

Participants are strongly advised to make sure they fulfill all legal requirements to enter Italy.
Besides a valid passport, an entry visa may also be required. Please check with your nearest Italian Consulate or Embassy. Information about visas and addresses of Italian Embassies can be found at www.esteri.it/visti/index_eng.asp.
Official letters of invitation for visa purposes will be supplied upon request to the Congress Secretariat, only after complete registration and payment of fees. Please allow sufficient time for this procedure. Note that such letters do not commit the Congress to any kind of financial support, hosting arrangement, nor do they guarantee an entry visa issue.
